I bought her in may 2004. I found her in Switzerland  in Gerold Vogels shop in Wienfelden close to Zurich. .When I bought her she had lost a lot of parts as she had been used for cannibalization to serve some other bevels.

As it was a lot of parts missing I could not drive here. I could actually not even start here but Gerold told me. Dont worry. It is nothing wrong with here. We just need the space so that is why she is for sale.

As I could not drive her I had to get a lorry to get here home. The problem is of course that I live in France and Switzerland is not in EC. That means that I had to smuggle her across the boarder to France. Rebuild here. Then smuggle here back to Switzerland and finally import her to France.

To get home I had to find a small boarder with no custom. I found a small nice one and actually took a shortcut through Germany and after than over to France.

Finaly home and I could start to rebuild here. The plan was to put her together and test drive her for a summer to find out what was good and what was bad. After that the plan was to start a proper rebuild/renovation.

Now the search for the missing parts could start.

I just say internet. What should we do without internet?
How did you boys and girls found your parts "pre internet"?

All of the parts that I needed,  new or old parts I found thanks to internet. I found a headlight in Australia, a mudguard in New Zealand, ignition boxes and ignition lock  in Germany, Carburetor parts in Germany, fork seals in Spain, fuel taps in America. A lot of parts are from Ebay but the main suppliers of new parts has been Andy at
Desmo net in Germany. John at Mdina in Spain, now relocated in England  and Steve at Bevel Heaven In America.
